DeKalb Moves Forward on Growth Summit

November 27, 2002 - The City of DeKalb moved forward on its plans for a growth summit at the City Council workshop session held Monday, November 18th. The initiative, led by Mayor Greg Sparrow, will invite members of the City of DeKalb, Northern Illinois University, the DeKalb School District, the DeKalb Park District, the DeKalb Sanitary District, the Town of Cortland, the Village of Malta and the DeKalb County Regional Planning Commission. It has been suggested that, at some point, some citizens may be appointed to the committee. All meetings will be open to the public.
