Northern Illinois
Public Radio
From 1954 when it began as WNIU 90.5 FM as a 10 watt radio station to a full-fledged network consisting of WNIJ 89.5, WNIW 91.3, WNIQ 91.5 and WNIE 89.1, Northern Illinois Public Radio has sought to provide quality programs and services that share ideas, encourage thought, give pleasure and create community. As the broadcasting service of Northern Illinois University, NIPR is not resting on its laurels. Plans are to broadcast via satellite. Check them out!

Randy Tate
Randy Tate is carving out his place in the community with bass wood. Tate's hand carvings of fishermen and nature scenes are sold throughout the world by Midwest Cannon Falls and locally at Gullberg & Johnson's Furniture in Sycamore. Tate is a native a Waterman and received a degree in Industrial Technology at Western Illinois University in Macomb. He has been a resident of Sycamore for ten years and loves its small town sense of community and the main street feel of the downtown area.
