Honoring the Men and Women of DeKalb County
in the United States Armed Forces
September 11, 2001. The day America was attacked. The day the world changed. No American living today has experienced a war that our enemy, the terrorists, have infiltrated our borders. Our future is at stake.
The men and women of the United States Armed Forces -- Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force, Reserves and National Guard -- lives are at risk wherever they are. They risk their lives so that our freedom endures and to make the future of our children and grandchildren one of hope and not despair.
This page is to honor all DeKalb County residents who are serving in Operation Enduring Freedom regardless of where they are stationed. Their service and the many sacrifices they and their families will be asked to make are deeply appreciated.
There are many ways you can help. First, if you have a relative serving in the Armed Forces, please and provide their name, rank, branch of service, names of spouse, children and parents. Attach a jpeg file of their photograph in the email. Locations of where they are serving will not be published for security purposes. In the future we will provide secure email addresses for folks in DeKalb County to send them our best wishes. We'd like to send them, through proper channels, gift baskets from DeKalb County. We'd more than welcome your participation and suggestions.
